Different than your typical thriller! I didn't know where this one was going at any point。 The ending was OK, but I liked the journey。 Being from Northern CA, I did find it funny that Sausalito was described as a sleepy little town。 😄 Different than your typical thriller! It starts of decent and then goes downhill from there。 The characters lack depth and the protagonist isn’t likeable。 The story is not well put together and everything was predictable。 It was drama without the thriller that it should have been。

Literally the very last word in the book sent me over the edge。 🥹

This book is not worth the hype at all!! I’m not sure why it even made it to 3。5 stars。

Fantastic, unique story!! Although it’s not categorized as a mystery, this story drew a lot of mystery elements and had some suspenseful, page turning moments that made my jaw drop。 I now understand the hype around this book and definitely support it, although, I do wish the ending had been a little different, 4⭐️

Thriller about a woman whose husband (and father of a teen) disappears at the onset of some criminal activity。 The story goes between present and past as she tries to figure out where he has gone and why。 It was ok。 I am not sure if it was the audio version or the writing, but I didn't always like the narrator, or believe her motivations for decisions she made。 Thriller about a woman whose husband (and father of a teen) disappears at the onset of some criminal activity。 The story goes between present and past as she tries to figure out where he has gone and why。 It was ok。 I am not sure if it was the audio version or the writing, but I didn't always like the narrator, or believe her motivations for decisions she made。 。。。more

What a ride。 A few unbelievable moments and I have some questions, but overall a fresh take on a mysterious disappearance。 Would highly recommend。

Maybe it’s just a refreshing change from all the romances I’ve been reading, but this book was great。 The little twists and turns make you guessing all the way up to the last word in the book。 Rumors have it that they’re making this one into a movie, one I will have to see。 So good。

What a convoluted story line。

I didn’t hate it but I also didn’t love it; I feel like I wanted it to be so much longer and was expecting a lot more character development than we actually got。 I really liked it until about 70% of the way through。 I think if the story was a little more detailed I could’ve easily given it 5 stars, but I kept waiting for more to happen and for it to get deeper and the story just didn’t really allow itself to do that。

Immediately I was hooked。 The beginning/first half was gripping。 It was intriguing, suspenseful, full of mystery and questions I was anxious to find answers to, unputdownable。 I was wholly expecting to give this a 4, possibly 5, star rating and then I read the rest of it。 I understand why the story had to end the way it did but maybe it was execution。 Or maybe it was the writing。 I was just immensely let down with the ending。 It felt like the story was going full steam and then all of a sudden i Immediately I was hooked。 The beginning/first half was gripping。 It was intriguing, suspenseful, full of mystery and questions I was anxious to find answers to, unputdownable。 I was wholly expecting to give this a 4, possibly 5, star rating and then I read the rest of it。 I understand why the story had to end the way it did but maybe it was execution。 Or maybe it was the writing。 I was just immensely let down with the ending。 It felt like the story was going full steam and then all of a sudden it just sputtered and died。 。。。more

Book was good, page turner。 Couple of places where I felt it could have gone little faster and felt like the author was explaining all the details of heroine’s thought。 It almost seemed like a movie clip on slow motion at that time。 Also, without giving away any spoilers, did find few “how everything just comes together” moments in the story。 But it is a good read and the author does hook you in with her story and grip on it。
